CDC is lifelong training: the SCIP Database

As you know, we’ve always been committed to pursuing a quality policy that allows us to continuously provide products or services that meet the requirements in compliance with current regulations.

From January 5th, 2021 we notify to SCIP Database which substances are used to produce components for our gearmotors and timers. 

SCIP is the database for information on Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects (Products) established under the Waste Framework Directive (WFD).

The SCIP database ensures that the information on articles containing Candidate List substances is available throughout the whole lifecycle of products and materials, including at the waste stage. The information in the database is then made available to waste operators and consumers. 

In order to increase awareness about the quality and importance of new EU regulations, we participated in a webinar to better understand how to communicate notifications related to our products to the DB. The webinar gave us a broader overview of the REACH Regulation and helped us to understand thoroughly how to transmit the SCIP notification dossier.
