Metal or plastic case?
- On 1 December 2023
CDC gearmotors are small but they have a huge potential, with either plastic or metal cases they are our top products
Today we talk about gearmotors that feature the M53, CDC’s bidirectional synchronous motor that we can find in common household items and in popular industrial machines. But what are the differences between the two cases available in CDC’s catalog?
The die-cast aluminum alloy metal case is very durable. it adapts to high temperatures, it is less likely to wear out and is designed for higher resistances.
The fiberglass-filled polycarbonate plastic case is lighter and costs less, it is more suitable for applications that are not subjected to extreme temperature changes, but it resists corrosion better.
The core of both the FC12 and FC02 ranges is the M53 bidirectional motor, which is assembled with the latest generation automatic winding machine that we have recently installed. An example of high precision and efficiency of our internal production
It is essential to choose the case according to the final applications of the gearmotor, while keeping in mind the quality and endurance capacity you need.
